The 2024-25 NBA season will begin sooner rather than later, but before fans can return to their courtside seats, the official draft must begin – it begins Wednesday in New York.

Traditionally, the NBA Draft takes place on the last Thursday in June. However, this year, for the first time in NBA history, it will be held over two days: Wednesday and Thursday.

The selection takes place in two rounds, with a total of 58 players to choose from. The Atlanta Hawks secured the first pick in the NBA Draft Lottery just a few weeks ago.

The first round will take place on June 26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The second round will take place the following day, June 27, at ESPN’s Seaport District studios in New York.

But where, when and how can you watch the NBA Draft? Everything you need to know about it is below.

Which channel will broadcast the NBA Draft?

The NBA Draft will actually be televised and aired on ABC and ESPN. The broadcast begins at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT. The official draft begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. You can also watch online at ABC.com or ESPN.com, or through ABC or ESPN’s mobile apps if you have a cable subscription.

For those without cable, there are several ways to stream the draft.

Where will the NBA Draft be streamed?

Yes, and there are some options. If you have a subscription to ESPN+, you can stream the NBA Draft there. But there are other options, and if you’re looking for something free, Fubo is the way to go with a free trial.

FUBO

A FUBO subscription includes both ESPN and ABC, giving you multiple ways to stream the draft. The price of a FUBO subscription starts at $80 per month with the “PRO” plan, but a 7-day free trial is offered. This plan gives you access to 186 channels.

Hulu + Live TV

ESPN is available streaming on Hulu + Live TV. A subscription to the service starts at $76.99 – including services like ESPN+ and Disney+ and of course Hulu, all with ads. There is an option for a 3-day trial for new users.

DirecTV Stream

The 2024 NBA Draft will be available to stream on DirecTV Stream. The service offers an “Entertainment” package that gives you access to over 90 channels, including ESPN. The package costs $70 per month and includes local channels, unlimited Cloud DVR, a first-ever upgraded Gemini receiver, and free premium channels for the first three months. DirecTV Stream offers a 5-day trial.

The cheapest plans are Sling Orange, which includes ESPN ($40 per month, $20 the first month) and Sling Blue, which includes ABC ($45 per month, $22.50 the first month). Alternatively, there is a combo deal, Sling Orange + Blue ($60 per month, $30 the first month). The deal also includes other news, entertainment and sports channels.
