It is the 78th edition of the famous selection event and will be held in Barclays Center in BrooklynNew York, with the event sponsored by StateFarm and taking place over two evenings, June 26-27.

When a player signs in the first round, he signs a rookie scale contract, meaning he is assigned a salary based on a salary cap that can range from 80 to 120 percent of that rookie scale amount. The salary will be anywhere from $2.1 million to $10.6 million, depending on whether you are selected first or 30th in the first round.
The remaining 30 players are limited to a two-way contract, meaning they don’t make much money and are under pressure to secure their long-term future in the sport. Two-way players face a minimum salary of $1.12 million, salary cap permitting, but given their unfavorable second-round draft position, that salary probably won’t be much higher.
