Mike Perry has revealed how much he will be paid to fight Jake Paul, as the former UFC star steps in for Mike Tyson in July.
When Jake Paul’s superfight against Mike Tyson was put on hold after the boxing legend suffered a stomach ulcer outbreak, several other fighters threw their hats in the ring to replace him, including Ryan Garcia and Amir Khan.
The “problem child” was also presented with an interesting offer from former UFC star Darren Till, but ultimately he decided to fight “Platinum” Mike Perry instead of “Iron” Mike.
Perry actually had an offer to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. as the undercard for the Paul vs. Tyson fight, but that was scrapped. And now he’s taking on Jake and has revealed how much he’ll earn from the fight.
“It’s not bad. It fits right in with BKFC. Nothing crazy,” he told Michael Bisping in an interview on his YouTube channel. “I hope the pay-per-view goes well and that people buy the show because DAZN can be a little expensive out there sometimes.”
“But we work for the money, so you buy the event and I’ll give you the fight you want to see. I will definitely do that. The money is with me at BKFC and I have already established and set myself and my family up.”
