Get ready for targeted advertising on over 125 free channels on the new Google TV network

Earlier this month, Google unveiled its new Google TV Network, which will give brands the ability to target viewers on Google TV devices and smart TVs with ads. As part of the network, advertisers will be able to run various types of ads on the 135 FAST channels, including six-second bumper ads and non-skippable ads. Google has also hinted that there will be “new ad formats” in the future, though it’s unclear what those will entail. The new format could include “immersive ads,” which… yes… are now a reality, and both Disney and Prime Video are currently experimenting with the format.

Considering that these free Google TV channels have now become a source of advertising revenue for the tech giant, we can at least expect the list of channels to grow significantly over the years. For a full list of Google TV’s curated channels, visit the support page.
