If you could play a 3v3 tournament with anyone, who would you choose?
We met with NBA prospects ahead of the 2024 draft and asked them who they would choose if they could play anyone in a 3-on-3 tournament.
Zach Edey is officially an NBA player.
The Purdue center was selected No. 9 by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2024 NBA Draft and is now moving to the league to join forces with Ja Morant and Marcus Smart.
Standing at 7’4″, Edey is widely considered one of the most interesting players in this year’s NBA draft. In his last two seasons in college basketball, he was a dominant player in the penalty box and in the post, which caused his opponents headaches on the court.

In addition to leading the Boilermakers to their first Final Four since 1980, Edey also averaged 25.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 2.0 assists per game this season, marking the first time in NCAA history that a player has averaged at least those numbers per game.
In addition, he is the second most drafted player in Purdue basketball history in the modern draft era (since 1999), behind only his former teammate Jaden Ivy, who went to the Detroit Pistons as the No. 5 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Here is Edey’s contract according to the value pick of the No. 9 overall NBA selection:
