Laz Alonso broke out of character and screamed in horror after watching the most disturbing scene from The Boys 4

The Boys Season 4 Star Laz Alonso has already pointed out the increasing level of violence and blood in the new season. Fans can now see this in the 5 episodes that Prime Video has released so far. Alonso recalled a sickening scene in season 4 that made him break character and scream out loud.

Although he didn’t reveal the exact scene, fans may have already found some scenes in the current season that fit Alonso’s description. Alonso’s reaction was echoed by Jack Quaid, who also felt that one scene was too much for him.

After watching five episodes of The Boys Season 4 On Prime Video, fans wish they could forget a few scenes from the series. Whether it’s the new methods of blood splattering or taking the sexual content to the next level, Season 4 has beaten all three previous seasons. However, fans have already been warned by the cast of to prepare The young.

When series stars Laz Alonso and Jack Qupaid appeared at Toronto Comic-Con 2023, they revealed their disgust at some scenes. Alonso, who played Mother’s Milk, shared his experience filming one of the most disgusting and shocking scenes. Alonso recounted how he couldn’t control himself during the scene and destroyed the character.

He revealed that it was the first time in his career that he broke character. He noted: “For the first time in my life, not in this show, in my life, that I fell out of character and screamed” (via Instagram). However, not everyone perceived Alonso’s scream as one of disgust. Quaid shared: “And I thought to myself: Laz wants to make it with this attitude.”

Alonso said the scene came out of the blue for him and he was not in character at the time. When he asked if they would use that shot, no one called “cut” for the scene. Alonso revealed that he had to move on. At Toronto Comic-Con, he said:

And then I was so unprepared that I started… I was out of character at the time and I was like, “You’re not going to use this shot, are you?” And nobody called cut, so I had to get back in character and carry on, and it sucked…

There were a number of scenes in the five episodes of The young that could have provoked Alonso’s reaction. From Homelander’s insane violence to a horrific Rob Benedict sex scene, these five episodes had it all. However, fans can expect even more horrific scenes in the final three episodes of this season.

During Toronto Comic-Con, it was Jack Quaid who first addressed a particular scene that turned him off. After playing Hughie Campbell for three seasons, Quaid shared that he was pretty good at handling the blood, brutality, and all the crazy stuff on the show.

But he was obviously not ready for one particular scene, as it was too much for the actor. Quaid said:

There was a scene we shot this season where I found my line… uh, where I was like, “Oh, this is too much for me.” And when I looked at it, I actually had a moment and I had to – I’m usually pretty good with blood and brutality and all the crap that we do – but this season… and normally this never happens to me, but I was like, “Wow, nope, nope,” and I turned away. So get ready for that.

Alonso also recalled that the special effects supervisor of The youngStephan Fleet, X to reveal the disgusting nature of the scene. Fleet shared that he had seen the most disgusting thing the industry had ever seen.

Episode 6 of The Boys Season 4 will be released on Amazon Prime Video on July 4th.
