Ookami Mio, a Hololive cover VTuber, has announced that she will return to streaming on June 30, 2024. Her return stream will begin at 6:00 PM JST, which is 2:00 AM PDT/5:00 AM EDT.
It is unknown how long she will be streaming. But it will likely be a Zatsudan stream. In her announcement tweet, she explained that she kept everyone waiting and that she made her viewers feel lonely. Although she did not mention in the tweet that she would explain her illness, she did put it in her image in smaller text.
On May 12, 2024, Cover revealed that Ookami Mio was in the hospital for long-term treatment. On April 28, 2024, she had to receive emergency treatment, although neither Ookami Mio nor Cover gave much information about this. Due to this stay, she had to miss the Hololive Gamers Fes and Music Verse Fes events. She left the hospital this month, on June 10, 2024. However, she was still unable to return to her normal streaming schedule. This is likely because she had less energy and stamina after her long hospital stay.
Ookami Mio will resume streaming on June 30, 2024. At the time of this writing, Mio has over 1.18 million subscribers.
