Looking for ways to celebrate Independence Day?
From fireworks to food, Tarrant County has something for everyone to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Here’s where you can join in the festivities, including some in the days leading up to the holiday:
Light up Arlington
The “Light Up Arlington” fireworks display on June 29 will feature vendors, at least 20 food trucks, four stages with musical performances, a bubble bus, and face painting in front of the downtown library.
Where: Areas around Arlington City Hall and the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, 100 S. Center St., Arlington
When: June 29, 6:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. The fireworks start at 9:50 p.m.

Fireworks rush after work
Hawaiian Falls Mansfield is hosting its first Fireworks Frenzy After Hours Event. Visitors can cool off on the water park’s rides and attractions during the day, and when the sun goes down, fireworks light up the sky. The event includes Fourth of July-themed food and drinks.
Where: Hawaiian Falls Mansfield, 490 Heritage Parkway, Mansfield
When: July 3, 5-9pm
Cost: Tickets are $39.99; $9.99 for season pass holders; must be purchased by June 30.
Stars and Stripes
Freedom meets celebration at the Stars & Stripes event in Southlake. The day is filled with festive food, exciting activities and a fireworks display tailored especially for families and children.
Where: Southlake Town Square, 1400 E. Southlake Blvd., Southlake
When: July 3, 5pm-11pm
Cost: Free
Family celebration for 4th birthday and fireworks
The Family 4th (on the 3rd) Celebration and Fireworks Show features bounce houses, food trucks, performances, a corn-on-the-cob eating contest, a salute to veterans and fireworks.
Where: Birdville ISD Plaza, 6531 Boulevard 26, North Richland Hills
When: 5:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., July 3. Fireworks 9:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
Cost: Admission and parking are free. Bouncy castle wristbands are $5.
Fort Worth’s fourth
Fort Worth’s Fourth celebrates the 17th anniversary of its fireworks show and festival on the banks of the Trinity River. The event includes festival food, cold beverages, children’s activities, live music and a fireworks show.
Where: Panther Island Pavilion, 395 Purcey St., Fort Worth
When: Gates open on July 4th at 5:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Independence Day Parade in Arlington
The annual Independence Day parade in Arlington features floats, vintage cars and bands. The parade is preceded by the Firecracker 5K. The theme of this year’s parade is “Home Run for Heroes.”
Where: Firecracker 5K starts at Levitt Pavilion, 100 W. Abram St., Arlington. The parade begins at the intersection of West Street and Mitchell Street.
When: The Firecracker 5K starts at 7 a.m. The Fourth of July parade begins at 9 a.m.
Cost: The 5K run costs $25 if registered before June 30 and $30 if registered July 1-3. The parade is free.
Bedford 4th Festival
The City of Bedford’s 4thFest will feature fireworks, a kids’ area, and food trucks. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Where: Generations Park at Boys Ranch, 2801 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford
When: 5pm-10pm, July 4. Fireworks start at 9:30pm
Cost: Free
Independence Day celebration and fireworks
The Town of Haslet is hosting an Independence Day celebration and fireworks display with vendors, activities, food trucks and of course fireworks. Tents, pets and alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
Where: Haslet Community Park, 301 First St., Haslet
When: 6pm, June 28
Cost: Free
Celebration of freedom
The Town of Crowley’s Freedom Festival is a day filled with family-friendly activities, attractions, live bands, food trucks, retailers, artisans and fireworks. Visitors can also watch the All American Kid Contest, which will determine the contestant with the most festive outfit. Contestants must submit an entry form by July 3.
Where: All American Kid Contest at Crowley Crossing, 201 E. Main St., Crowley; main celebration at Bicentennial Park, 900 E. Glendale, Crowley
When: All American Kid Contest, July 6, 10 a.m. Park opens at 4 p.m., with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
