President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will take the stage in Atlanta on Thursday night for the first head-to-head duel of the 2024 election.

The debate, broadcast on CNN, will differ from previous debates between the two candidates in several important ways due to network rules: There will be no live audience and all microphones will be muted except for the candidate who is currently speaking.

The two candidates may clash over their respective ages (Biden is 81, Trump 78), but also over Trump’s recent conviction, their stance on abortion and the war between Israel and Hamas.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running as an independent candidate, has not qualified for the debate and will not join Trump and Biden on stage.
