Bronny James is the newest member of the Lakers.
LA selected James with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, whose father LeBron James spent the last six seasons with the Lakers. After playing one season at USC, Bronny James will stay in Los Angeles and join the city’s renowned NBA franchise.
Now that James is officially a member of the Lakers, the question is when we’ll see him in purple and gold for the first time. After donning his uniform for rookie photo shoots, here’s an idea of when James might make his debut on the Summer League stage.

When will Bronny James make his NBA debut?
James’ NBA debut could come on July 6 when the Lakers face the Kings in San Francisco as part of the California Classic Summer League.
LA will play three games in the California Classic before heading to Las Vegas for the NBA 2K25 Summer League.

NBA 2K25 Summer League (Las Vegas)
The NBA 2K25 Summer League will take place on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas from July 12-22. The Lakers’ schedule for the Summer League in Las Vegas has not yet been announced.
