Bautista had some acting experience, but his breakthrough came when James Gunn cast him in the 2014 MCU film Protector of the galaxy. With his dry humor and madness in the film, Bautista’s Drax became a fan-favorite character.
Recently, a poll was conducted on X asking people to name the best “wrestler turned actor.” Alongside names like John Cena and Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista surprisingly emerged as the winner!
Well, fans seem to claim that Dave Bautista is the better actor, even though he may not have as much commercial success as John Cena and Dwayne Johnson. The result is not due to favoritism, but to logical conclusions.
People conclude that Dave Bautista is the better actor, and there are numerous reasons for this. One of the biggest reasons is that Bautista is more versatile than John Cena and Dwayne Johnson combined!

Let us consider the following case: Dave Bautista played the role of Drax in Protector of the Galaxy in 2014. Bautista played a comedic role with a traumatic past that he pulled off perfectly and made him an instant fan favorite.
Bautista rose to worldwide fame and starred in Zack Snyder’s 2021 film Army of the Dead in which he played a deadly serious role. Later he appeared in the dune Franchise and M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Knock on the hut.
And to top it all off, Bautista also became a part of the Knife out Franchise with Glass Onion: A Knives Out crime thriller. The fact is that Dave Bautista can play a variety of characters and show a wealth of emotions.
John Cena, on the other hand, is mainly associated with comedic roles, while Dwayne Johnson is known in Hollywood as an adventurer. Compared to these two, fans can assume that Bautista is simply a more versatile actor.
Dave Bautista was last seen as Beast Rabban in the 2024 film Dune – Part Two while he is currently involved in 9 upcoming projects in various stages of development!
