Here’s how to watch the South Carolina Gamecocks takeover of the SEC Network this week

South Carolina Gamecocks fans will soon have a full day to watch their favorite teams.

Every summer, the SEC Network dedicates an entire day to each team in the Southeastern Conference, during which the network airs only programs for and about that sports division. In other words, each team in the SEC gets an “SEC Network Takeover Day” where only their past game, documentaries, interviews, etc. are available on the channel.

ESPN recently released its SEC Network Takeover Days schedule and the South Carolina Gamecocks were given a great day for their takeover.

Thursday, July 4th is Takeover Day for the Gamecocks, and since so many Palmetto State folks have the day off, there are sure to be plenty of TVs and streaming devices playing South Carolina sports games all day long.

So far, ESPN has only released a portion of the programming that will be available for each SEC Network Takeover, and only two slots have been announced for the Gamecocks. At 8 p.m. ET, the third National Championship win for Dawn Staley and the South Carolina basketball team (the victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes to close out the 2023-2024 season) will air on the SEC Network and the ESPN app. At 10 p.m. ET, right after the Gamecocks take down the nets following their win against Iowa, Lamont Paris’ 2023-2024 squad will be on screens as they dismantle the Kentucky Wildcats at Colonial Life Arena.

The remaining details of the South Carolina Gamecocks’ acquisition of the SEC Network will be announced later.
