Jamie Chadwick experiences the incredible GEN3 Formula E car in Portland

In her second season with Andretti Global and fresh off her historic victory at the INDY NXT earlier this month, where she became the first woman ever to win on a road course, Chadwick drove the Formula E GEN3 electric race car for the first time, reaching speeds of over 150 km/h on the legendary circuit.

The GEN3 is the world’s fastest, lightest and most sustainable electric racing car. Compared to its predecessor, the GEN3 car is 75 percent more powerful, reaches a top speed 95 km/h higher and has six times the energy recovery capacity.

Chadwick also showcased her impressive skill and speed by completing a hot lap in a Porsche Taycan with racing legend and Andretti Global team owner Michael Andretti on the team’s home soil.

While in Portland, Jamie supported his Andretti Global colleagues Jake Dennis and Norman Nato, joining the presentation team for the broadcast of both races as a driver analyst.

“Getting the opportunity to drive the GEN3 car was really special,” said Jamie Chadwick. “Experiencing what the battery power can do and how that feels underfoot was really cool. It’s great to see how far the series has come as a whole and what Formula E is doing to drive change.”

“The hot lap was also really fun. Michael knows this track like no other and it was great to get the chance to drive with him.”

“It has been a lot of fun driving with Jamie,” added Michael Andretti, CEO of Andretti Global. “Her talent and precision on the track are evident. From her days dominating the W Series to her milestone win at INDY NXT, I am proud to have her as part of the Andretti Global family and look forward to her continued success.”

“It was great to have Jamie here in Portland for a Formula E race weekend,” continued Beth Paretta, Vice President of Sport, Formula E.

“We are delighted to have drivers like Jamie leading the way, setting new standards and inspiring the next generation of racers.
