The Airbus A400M is a high-performance military transport aircraft with four turboprop engines. The large tactical transport aircraft has oversized transport capabilities and can carry up to 116 troops and cargo (a total payload capacity of 37 tonnes). The aircraft will enter service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) of the United Kingdom in 2014, complementing the Hercules and C-17 fleets.

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II needs no introduction. It is the most modern fighter aircraft in military aviation. The RAF’s F-35Bs are capable of short and vertical takeoffs and landings (S/VTOL) and can reach speeds of up to 2,000 km/h.

The Embraer C-390 Millennium is a mid-size military transport aircraft and the heaviest aircraft the Brazilian manufacturer has ever built. Designed to carry up to 80 troops, the aircraft was marketed as a jet-powered alternative to the popular (but aging) Lockheed C-130.
