How to watch, stream and find out the time of the Copa America – NBC Chicago

It all comes down to this.

This may sound dramatic considering we are still in the group stages of the Copa America, but the United States men’s national team is in serious danger of being eliminated from a group that includes Uruguay, Panama and Bolivia.

The USA had built up a good position after beating Bolivia 2-0 in their opening group match, but things quickly went downhill in their second match against Panama. Tim Weah was sent off in the 18th minute and although Folarin Balogun put the USA ahead, Panama then scored two more goals to secure a 2-1 victory.

Now the U.S. must get a result — likely a win — against high-flying Uruguay to avoid grouping, as Panama could move into second place instead.

What is Uruguay’s international FIFA ranking?

Uruguay is the number 14 men’s national team according to the latest FIFA world rankings from June 20. For comparison: The USMNT is ranked 11th.

However, the rankings are not a yardstick for comparing teams. Uruguay are led by the better coach Marcelo Bielsa, despite receiving a suspension from the sidelines against the USA.

Luis Suarez, Darwin Nunez, Ronald Araujo, Federico Valverde, Manuel Ugarte, Jose Maria Gimenez and Rodrigo Bentancur are among the key stars who play for top clubs across Europe, so the USA will definitely have a tough time.
