Color changes in Final Fantasy 14

Final Fantasy 14 is an amazing version of the popular Final Fantasy Franchise that allows players to play with each other online. The game follows the player as they explore the world and immerse themselves in the hundreds of hours of content the game offers.

One thing that players love is the dye system in the game, but the expansion, Morning trail, adds more customization options with this system. For the first time, players can use two colors when dying. Here’s an overview of the new system.

Color changes in Final Fantasy 14

Morning trail allows players to change their glamour by being able to dye their gear two different colours at once, which will be another big update to the dye system from the past few years. To do this, players can either craft or buy the colours they want to use and then go ahead and customize their character until they find the perfect look. If you’re looking for an easy way to earn enough Gil to buy the dye, check out the list of main scenario quests added with the expansion. The first colour players can use is the main colour of the outfit. It changes the largest parts of the piece. Meanwhile, colour 2 only changes smaller accent pieces of the gear. For example, colour 1 can change the colour of a jacket, while colour 2 only changes the colour of the buttons. Players should make sure to carefully examine the colour changes to find the combination that suits them best.

Currently, players can only use dyes on certain pieces of equipment. Square Enix has mentioned that they are working on bringing this feature to more pieces of equipment, but currently its use is limited.

How to unlock the new death system

Fortunately, players don’t have to do anything special to unlock the new dye system. They just need to use dyes as usual, and if the item is available with double dyes, they will be able to automatically add the second dye to the item. Once players have Morning trail expansion, they can start dyeing their new armor. However, keep in mind that this system is not yet available for all pieces. The older the piece, the less likely it is that this double dye system can be used from the start.
