Well, when Disney+ was first announced, we immediately started with a series of short films. It turns out that audiences, at least from Pixar, didn’t want short films. They just didn’t do as well. They didn’t pay off in terms of the effort we put into making them. So Disney asked us to pull everything that wasn’t a feature film.

We’ve also found that the better a film does in theaters, the more successful it is on Disney+. If it does really well in theaters, you might initially think that no one is going to watch it on Disney+ because we’ve already seen it.

Actually, it’s the opposite, which kind of makes sense. I remember having the Muppet Show album as a kid and playing it until I dropped. As a kid, you want the comfort of watching that one thing over and over again.
