GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE will stream on Max from July 4th

“GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE,” from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, will make its streaming debut on Max next THURSDAY, JULY 4. An American Sign Language (ASL) version of the film will stream exclusively on Max the same day. This ASL version of the film was produced exclusively for Max and featured ASL actor Otis Jones (Deaf West Theatre). Jones was taught by Leila Hanaumi, who delivered a highly acclaimed performance last December in “Barbie with ASL,” Max’s first ASL film interpretation. “GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE” in ASL will appear as a separate title in the Max app and can be identified by its key art featuring the sign language symbol.

The film is an explosive, action-packed adventure that follows Kong’s search for his family through an undiscovered layer of the Hollow Earth. What he discovers inadvertently creates the most dangerous threat to humanity yet… a threat that can only be fought (and possibly defeated) by the combined forces of Kong and Godzilla, now more advanced than ever before.

GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE is directed by Adam Wingard and stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns and Fala Chen. The screenplay is by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett and Jeremy Slater from a story by Rossio & Wingard & Barrett, based on the character “Godzilla” owned and created by TOHO Co., Ltd. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull and Brian Rogers. The executive producers are Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira.
