2021 NFL Draft Re-draft: Where will Newsome and JOK be selected by the Browns?

Next year’s NFL Draft should be exciting for Cleveland Browns fans, as the team finally has a first-round draft pick again. Last time, GM Andrew Berry selected CB Greg Newsome IIThe Browns also traded for LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Owusu-Koramoah had an amazing breakout year in 2023, while Newsome played well enough to have the team pick up his fifth-year option for 2025. Only two other selections from 2021, OL James Hudson III and LB Tony Fields IIwere not released by the team at least once.

The 33rd team created a re-draft of the 2021 NFL Draft (another form of an NFL mock draft) in which JOK was selected 22nd by the Tennessee Titans and Newsome was selected 28th by the New Orleans Saints, two spots lower than originally selected by Cleveland.

Since Owusu-Koramoah is no longer on the board, Jevon Holland was selected for the Browns at the age of 26.

Holland was originally selected as the fourth pick in the second round by the Miami Dolphins. In three seasons, Holland has developed into one of the better young free safeties in the NFL.

The fact that JOK was selected 30 spots higher than originally and Newsome was selected just two spots lower means that Cleveland had a really good draft in 2021. While every team (and many fans) want to get more out of their draft classes, getting two very good starting players and two backups in a single draft group is solid work.
