Buy this gigantic Ford F-350 Six-Wheeler RV and hit the road

If you want to spend big bucks on an off-road RV, there are plenty of options—too many, if I’m honest. Name your six- or seven-figure price tag and there’s sure to be a rig for you. The problem with most of these machines is that they’re all similar, regardless of price. That’s what happens when you try to squeeze the same luxurious amenities of a home into a rolling platform that can traverse the Rocky Mountains on asphalt or dirt roads. And while you can credit this 1993 Ford F-350 six-wheeler built by Revcon with a lot, it’s not an off-the-shelf RV. Whether that’s enough to justify the $125,000 price tag is up to you.

Revcon built around 70 of these Trailblazers back in the day and sold them for around $180,000 in 1992. That’s the equivalent of nearly $403,000 today, so this example for sale in Chicago is a bargain from that perspective. They were touted as the only off-road coaches in the world, although it should be noted that they only have four-wheel drive. not Six-wheel drive – the rear wheels ride on a tag axle. They’re still necessary, because this behemoth probably weighs as much as a school bus. Sure, the RV’s body is aluminum, but the truck is 30 feet long, 10 feet 6 inches tall, and 8 feet wide.

Still, it’s one of the best examples left today. It only shows 30,xxx miles on the clock, which, I promise, is nothing for the 460 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. The interior also appears to be in top shape, with the listing mentioning new floors, a new kitchen countertop, and an induction cooktop. There’s plenty of onboard power too, thanks to a 3,000-watt inverter, 2,300 watts of solar, and 680 amp-hour lithium-ion batteries, so more than enough juice to power the mini-split air conditioning and Starlink.

Although there aren’t many of them left, I see them online quite often. I assume it’s because every time someone sees them on the street, they take a photo and post it. You have to be OK with attracting all the attention because you can’t escape the public unless you go really, really far out.

But maybe that’s the way to go. Buy this thing, watch a nature-based learning program for your kids, and go to the desert (or forest, or arctic tundra). I think I could probably convince my wife if I used that sales pitch.
